Black Friday email template for WooCommerce (2026)
WooCommerce gives you plenty of control over your store, and how you send marketing email depends on the plugin or email service you have connected. Either way, the message itself is the same. Here is a template and a checklist. Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is November 30.
Because WooCommerce stores use many different email plugins and services, and those tools change their menus often, these steps stay general. Use your email tool’s own help pages for exact button names.
Before you open the editor
- Pick a single offer. One sentence: what, how much, until when. (Looking for options? See Black Friday sale ideas.)
- Create the coupon in your store. Set its usage rules and expiry, and test it on a real product before announcing it.
- Choose the landing page. A category, a product or a sale page.
- Gather images. Two or three product photos, compressed so the email loads quickly.
- Confirm your list. Use only people who have opted in. If customers were imported from elsewhere, make sure consent came with them.
- Check your sending setup. If your emails come from a custom domain, make sure your email service says it is verified, so messages are less likely to land in spam.
The template
Copy the text below into your email tool and fill in the braces.

Headline: The Black Friday weekend sale is on
Hello {first name},
From now until the end of Monday, November 30, you can get {offer, in one sentence} with code {CODE}.
Shoppers often pick up {product 1}, {product 2} and {product 3} first, and all three are part of the sale.
Button: Shop the sale (link to your sale page)
{Shipping cutoff: orders placed by {date} are expected to arrive before the holidays.}
With thanks,
{shop name}
General steps
- Open your email plugin or service and start a new campaign. Pick a basic one-column layout.
- Enter the subject and preview text from the template.
- Add your message. Use a heading, your short paragraph, one or two product images and a single button.
- Link the button to your sale page, optionally with the coupon applied through a link if your setup supports it. Test that link before you rely on it.
- Select your recipients and confirm the list or segment.
- Send a test to a couple of addresses on different providers and view them on a phone.
- Schedule the send and verify the date, time and time zone. Your WordPress time zone and your email service’s time zone may not be the same, so check both.
Test checklist
- Does the coupon work with the products in the email, and is its expiry correct?
- Does the button land on the right page of your live store?
- Did the test arrive in the inbox, not spam?
- Are unsubscribe and address details present in the footer?
- Does your site hold up if more people than usual visit at once? Check with your host if you are unsure.
A sensible weekend run
A good small-shop plan has a few touchpoints: a heads-up, the launch, a reminder and a last call on Cyber Monday. The send schedule guide explains timing, and the email examples guide has copy for each message. Prefer to compare platforms? See the BigCommerce and Squarespace versions.
