Black Friday email template for Squarespace (2026)
If your shop is on Squarespace, your Black Friday email is mostly a writing job: a clear offer, a short message and one button back to your site. This guide gives you a template and a sensible order of work. Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is November 30.
Squarespace changes its menus and labels from time to time, so the steps here stay general. If a button is named differently in your account, look for the closest match, or check Squarespace’s own help pages.
Before you open the editor
- Write the offer in one sentence. What is discounted, by how much, and when does it end? (Stuck? See Black Friday sale ideas.)
- Create the discount on your site first. Set the code or automatic discount, with start and end times that match what the email will say.
- Pick the landing page. A single product, a category page or a dedicated sale page all work. Choose one.
- Collect your images. Two or three clean product photos are plenty.
- Know your audience. Only people who agreed to hear from you by email should be on the list you send to.
The template
Copy this into your email, then swap out everything in braces.

{Shipping note, for example: order by {date} for delivery before the holidays.}
Thank you for shopping with us,

General steps
- Start a new email campaign in the email tools connected to your Squarespace site, and choose a simple layout.
- Enter the subject line and preview text from the template.
- Add your content blocks. A heading, a short paragraph, a product image or two and a single button is enough.
- Link the button to the sale page. Copy the link from your live site rather than typing it by hand.
- Choose recipients. Confirm the list or segment, and that it only holds people who opted in.
- Send yourself a test and open it on a phone and on a computer.
- Schedule the send. Check the date, time and time zone on the final screen.
Test checklist
- Click every link. Does the discount apply when you check out?
- Do the dates in the email match the discount’s start and end?
- Is there a working unsubscribe link and your mailing address in the footer?
- If you use first names, what appears for a contact without one?
- Is the email still clear with images turned off?
A sensible weekend run
A single email leaves a lot of the weekend uncovered. Many small shops send a heads-up beforehand, the main announcement, a mid-weekend reminder and a Cyber Monday last-chance note. The send schedule guide suggests timing, and the email examples guide has ready-to-adapt copy. On another platform? Try the guides for Wix or WooCommerce.
