VIP early access Black Friday email: template and list (2026)
An early-access email lets your best customers shop your Black Friday offer before everyone else. Below: a template to paste in, subject lines, and a simple way to build the list. Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026.
The one rule: make the early access real
Early access only works if it is early. Open the sale to the VIP list before the public, say exactly when, and do not announce the same offer to everyone at the same time. The template below is plain text copy, so it is yours to adjust to the facts of your shop. Only promise what you will actually deliver: a real head start, a real offer, real stock.
When to send it
Many small shops give early access a day or two before the public sale. For 2026, that could be Wednesday, November 25 or Thursday, November 26, with the public sale opening Friday, November 27. See the send schedule guide for how it fits with the rest of your run, and how many emails to send if you are deciding whether to include it.

{Note on limited stock, only if it is true: for example, “We have {number} of {product}, and when they are gone, they are gone.”}
Thank you for being one of our first customers.

How to build the early-access list
You do not need a big list. A small group of people who asked to hear from you will do more than a long list of strangers. Start now: there is time before November 27.
- Start with who you already have. Past customers who agreed to marketing emails are your best early-access audience. Check your platform for a segment of repeat buyers or recent purchasers.
- Add a simple signup. Put a short form on your site, in your footer or in a popup, with a clear promise such as “Get Black Friday early access.” Tell people what they will receive.
- Ask in your next email. Add a line at the end of your regular email: “Want first access to our Black Friday offer? Click here to join the list.” Link it to a signup or a tag your platform can apply on click.
- Use your social accounts. Post the signup link in your bio or stories. Say what people get and when.
- Include a note at checkout or in packages. A small card or line in order confirmations, with the signup link, reaches people who already buy from you.
- Tag the list. Create a tag or a segment called something like “BF early access” so you can send only to that group.
- Confirm consent. Only email people who have agreed to marketing emails, and include your unsubscribe link and business address in every message.
What to send before and after
- Before: a short invite to join the list, then a reminder of the early-access date to the people who joined.
- Early-access email: the template above, sent to the tagged list only.
- Reminder: a brief evening note, sent to the list members who have not clicked.
- Public launch: your normal Black Friday email to everyone else, on the day. Consider suppressing people who already bought during early access.
Checklist before you schedule
- Does the discount work only when it should? If you use a code, test it. If the offer opens at a set time, confirm the start time.
- Does the email state when the public sale begins?
- Is the audience only the early-access list?
- Is the unsubscribe link and your business address in the footer?
- Did you send a test to yourself and open it on a phone?
